Gil Gonzalez was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico in 1976.
In 2009 he moved from Monterrey, Mexico to Austin, Texas and began working with both local talent and international artists, offering unique sounds and tastes to each unique artist.
Gil began his career as a professional bass player, writing bass lines and recording them for local and national television commercials, utilizing many musical styles. (1995 - 1998)
In 1998, Gil and four childhood friends formed the rock band Genitallica. They’ve since released 3 albums:

In 2003 Gil began producing, recording, and mixing artists across the genres of Rock, Pop, Jazz, Techno Pop and R&B, among others. in his Monterrey studio. In 2009 he relocated his Long Road Studio to Austin, Texas.
Gil’s ability to work across multiple genres has given him a real insight into how to get the most out of the artists he’s working with, regardless of their style.
Gil has spent the past six years producing, recording, mixing and composing for more than 40 projects, with unsigned artists as well as artists signed to both international and independent record labels. This has led to the creation of professional partnerships with such industry professionals as Jay Frigoletto, a Mastering Engineer Award Winner, who adds the final touches to all of Gil’s projects.
Known as a hands-on producer, Gil often makes lyrical and musical suggestions, and at times also co-writes with artist.
He has also co-produced albums with the following producers:

As the bass player for Genitallica, Gil has spent the last 11 years playing concerts in more than 15 countries, for up to 70,000 people and sharing the stage with various international artists such as:
Kiss, Bush, Simple Plan, Aterciopelados, Todos tus Muertos, The Crystal Method, Julieta Venegas, Quiet Riot, Molotov, La 5a Estacion, Wisin & Yandel, Tego Calderon, Cafe Tacuba, Puya, King Chango and Enrique Bumburi, among others.
With Genitallica, he collaborated on several Mexican movie soundtracks, including:

In his career as the bass player for Genitallica, Gil received several industry award nominations including:
